Switch it Up

The best thing about a suit is that it is a two piece item that you can wear three different ways:

As an entire two piece combo

As a blazer paired with other pieces

As trousers paired with other pieces

A little FYI: I recently learned that a suit isn't meant to be worn as separates, because it breaks up the wear and aging process of the pieces. A jacket getting more sunlight than the pants and vice versa can lead to discoloration and result in the pieces no longer matching each other perfectly. They are cut from the same piece of fabric and are meant to be worn together...

But I am not going to wear a suit together all of the time, and I am really shooting for being able to mix up and diversify each fashion item that I buy. I want more bang for my buck, but I will try not to do it too often. Promise.

I wore this double breasted blazer a few weeks back to a fashion event and decided to throw it on again with a pair of jeans, white tee, boots, and a hat. Spring is here and it is time to begin to transition our fall and winter pieces. What is your favorite way to switch pieces up?

Blazer - Zara (similar)

Jeans - Gap (similar)

Boots - Tiffi (sold out)
