Hi my love.

We need to talk…

I didn’t know how to address this before because I didn’t want to hurt your feelings or create an awkward dynamic between us, but as your virtual BFF, I cannot let you continue on like this.

You posted the meme, and they still don’t care. Whew! *wipes forehead*

I am so glad we got that out of the way.

Beloved...you hopped on Al Gore’s internet to post that meme AND THEY STILL DO NOT CARE.

Relationships are hard and sometimes the ending of one is even harder. We confide in our friends and close family when going through a breakup and we lean on them for support, which is totally normal. But how did we get into this trend of letting the entire world know when our significant other has done some unfathomable thing or when the relationship is over? You don’t want people in your business? THEN STOP PUTTING US ON NOTICE EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU ARE UNHAPPY WITH YOUR RELATIONSHIP STATUS.

Ladies, those memes that talk about how great of a woman you are and how the right man is going to appreciate you, they are absolutely right. The right man will appreciate you as soon as you start channeling that energy into making yourself happy and stop posting the memes in attempt to get the attention of the one who is not, has not, and will not. Move on.

Fellas, those memes about women being no good and only out to get your money is tired and lame. It didn’t work out. She isn’t your #she or #her and that’s cool. Someone else may be. Before I move on from this, because it simply has to be said, the vast majority of you do not know or see rich and wealthy...women aren’t digging for your gold…you don’t have any.

Stop sending subliminals. It’s thirsty. We can all see it. They saw it too. They took a screenshot of it and are sending it to their group-chat to laugh at you. They may have already moved on to someone else. Work on yourself. Focus on being happy for yourself without it being a byproduct of being in a relationship. You cannot find your happiness in the same place that you lost it.
